Solar Drawings

On anthotypies and environmental affectivity

Keywords: Antitype, environmental affectivity, solar drawings, material experimentation, image and performativity, ecology

Abstract

This work suggests to reflect on an experience of solar drawing production and on image production practices through the antitype technique and its possibilities when it comes to generating greater environmental affectivity, sensitivity and ecological empathy. It is about thinking on its possibilities and sharing some processes where image production is linked to food and vegetables, as well as determined by the weather and its timings, creating fragile and ephemeral images that contribute, through its practice, to dwell on questions of current critical thinking.
