Abstract

The paper presents an analysis and assessment of contributions and opportunities for social economy organizations as engines of social change at local level. The incorporation of the social economy in the organs of intitutionalized participation in social welfare would deepen the democratization process and quality of local public social policies. In turn, presents a systematic, from the practical and empirical studies of trends in the supply of political participation at the municipal level in the area of social welfare and dimensions that allow analysis and implementation participatory practices designed to enhance the quality of democracy at the local level actively incorporating social economy.
