Los discursos de la accountability en el sistema de cooperación al desarrollo español
Abstract
This paper deals with discourses on accountability from actors of the Spanish aid system (Public Administration and NGO) and discusses them from the point of view of different theoretical interpretations on the idea of accountability in development. The research evidences a restricted conception on the notion of accountability, as well as limited practices and the existence of technical and political barriers. The paper concludes with recommendations for underpinning ongoing processes of change.
