Abstract

Agroindustrial production system was born and broadly adopted in the last half century. This system, based on an intensive use of inputs and guided by patterns of a globalized economy, causes serious environmental damages. Agroecology covers a wide range of farming methods and techniques that manage in a sustainable way natural resources. This article is focused on how food sovereignty suggests this proposal as the best way to produce food.
