Historia y ritual dinásticos en Machaquilá (Petén, Guatemala)
Abstract
The article deals with the royal dynasty of Machaquilá (Petén, Guatemala), focusing on two main aspects: On one side, the political history of the dynasty, reconstructed from the available hieroglyphic texts; on the other, the rituals that took place at Plaza A, where the well-known quatrifoil was found, which represent an exceptional expression of the ceremonial activities of the ruling elite.Downloads
