Abstract
The political purposes of Spanish Enlightment were legitimated behind the ethnologic observation about the Indians of Patagonia by the scientific voyagers. This frontier of the Empire was included in the evolutionist sortings of the civilizations distinguishing between salvajes, bárbaros and civilizados indians, so that the imperial space was resized.Downloads
