Abstract

Tbe studies on the Tro-Cortesian Codex have generally been oriented towards analyzing its content, with repeated attempts to discern the meaning of the calendars and activities it contajas, both daily and extraordinary, and their relationships. However Ihe Project: «The Tro-Cortesian Codex of 0w Museo de América de Madrid» centers more on its internal strueture than on its cultural meaning. Through a complete examination of its written and iconographic structure we rntend te stablish the technical ami ideological behavior with wich tk scribe approached it, finding the pattern under wich the manuscript was made, and establishing wben it was written, how many people were involved, its ethnolinguistic origin and their behavior concerning Ihe information they intended to include in the book.
