Abstract

This paper presents a synthesis of the theoretical approaches around consumption in different Social Sciences, in order to understand their treatment as to feeding practices. The emphasis in this last point is directed towards food inquiries in Archaeology. A zooarchaeological case study (Fort La Perra, La Pampa, Argentina, late 19th century) is presented to illustrate and discuss the perspectives upheld by the author.
