Abstract

The art of making a child is no longer limited to the sexual meeting between a men and a woman. The new reproductive technologies have an influence on the diferent ways to resolve the kinship. Taking the example of a gay couple who use an egg donor and a carrier mother we will analyze the key concepts on their filiation claim. So, we will stop on the child procreation process and then we will stop on the matter of their filiation and their claim through two contemporary rites: the republican baptism and the share of the birth. We will wonder about the places given to the mother figure and the role of the body in the assignment of these places by, in the end, to open a way to think about the gender and the kinship in the context of a new “kinship spirit”.
