Abstract

This text focuses on the impact of the economic crisis over the food insecurity situation of single-parent and migrant families and elders, and the strategies they develop to cope with them. We also analyse the aid schemes promoted in the city, the effect that these practices have on the well-being of people and on the transformation of food inequalities. In this context, we consider the importance of joint reflection among all the actors, through new forms-spaces of conversation that allow us to rethink food aid from a diversity of places; to jointly build solutions that appeal to collective responsibility and allow equal access to quality and culturally adapted food.
