Abstract

The aim of this paper is to offer a general perspective on concepts like decivilisation, dyscivilisation and informalization. This analysis is carried out using the framework of the civilization process theory defined by Norbert Elias. Once analyzed these concepts, an application of these concepts to the Spanish specific case during the period defined by the Second Republic (1931-1936), the CivilWar (1936-1939) and Franco’s dictatorship (1939-1975) will be developed.
