Cuando todo es político, ¿qué es la política?: una acotación empírica desde el post-humanismo
Abstract
In this article I will try to solve one of the most acute deficiencies in the post-humanist paradigm. As it is known, in this paradigm it is argued that ontology is political, therefore it has to be concluded that everything is political. In that case, post-humanism is accused of lacking a specific sense for the term ‘politics’. In the article, I review some of the solutions that have been proposed to give a more specific sense of politics and I include the reasons why such solutions are inadequate. Searching for a way to avoid this kind of problem, I resort to post-humanism to offer a reading for the cases of immigrant women in the Comunidad de Madrid. In doing so, I will examine the specificity of those migrations to Madrid that occurred because of political reasons so that they can be distinguished from other types of migrations. A criterion to signal political migrations is derived. In the article, I propose to generalize this criterion to the more general arena of politics in post-humanism. If a specification of political migrations could be drawn, then we are able to depict the specificity of politics in post-humanism, so that we can overcome the original accusations.Downloads
