Papel y significación urbana de los espacios para la música en la ciudad occidental
Abstract
To know the urban location and the characteristics the spaces designed for a specific social activity contributes to understand its function in the city and the relations established with the other activities and social estates. Starting off of this idea, the spaces for “classical music”, understood like results of the interactions between the music and the estates of the political and/or economic power that have promoted them in the modern western city, are analyzed in the article. It is not purpose of the article to make a history of the appearance and urban meaning of the spaces for music, if not to study those that are assumption new ways to understand the relation art-power in the public space.Downloads
