La persistencia del mito y de lo imaginario en la cultura contemporánea

Abstract

This work tries to show to the philosophical importance and the different sociological expressions that it adopts the imaginary thing in the contemporary culture. First, it begins with the examination of deep the anthropological nature of the imaginary thing, revealing the persistence of an imaginary, properly notrational component, devaluated and buried by the dominant rationalism throughout the western culture. Soon, starting off of the conflicting existing relation between imaginary modernity and, it reveals the two fundamental manifestations of the imaginary thing at the modern time: the scientific progress and the field of the partner-political identities. Finally, it discovers how the imaginary thing even follows operating in different own daily spaces from the culture of masses.
