Organizando la seguridad: Análisis organizativo de los servicios privados de seguridad en España
Abstract
The purpose of this article is to analyze organizational and environmental variables affecting private security services in Spain. This topic is important in order to understand privatization processes as well as the role played by private security in national security. The data are gathered from a national survey addressed to private security companies. An in deep interview to some security managers is also conducted. The research explains what is sold and who buy it. It analyzes how the costumer’ activities, as well as the security company’ size and speciality, affects security services. Security services are analyzed in terms of the object they protect, the strategies they follow, and the tasks done.Downloads
