El poder de la impotencia. Policías y migración clandestina entre Portugal y Francia (1957-1974)
Abstract
From 1957 to 1974, confronted with the clandestine emigration of hundreds of thousands of its nationals, the Portuguese dictatorship points out publicly the will to fight against what is juridically a crime between 1961 and 1969. Nevertheless, the action of the various police bodies charged to prevent and repress this deviance seems vain. But, is this really a failure? Isn’t the dictatorship satisfied with the clandestine character of the emigration? Didn’t the action of the police force have for goal to sort the migrants? And which were the practices of the police in Spain and in France?Downloads
