Marco metodológico para el estudio de las coaliciones políticas en los gobiernos locales en España
Abstract
The study of political coalitions within the local institutions in Spain, is a complex subject not only because of the different existing types, such as counties, municipalities, district, insular areas, etc., but also due to their large numbers. It, therefore, becomes necessary to set up a specific methodological frame to carry out an investigation of government production in a systematic way, and in accordance with the organic characteristics of each local institution, and particularly in respect of political coalition practices within the said institutions, which make up the whole local political system. We start the research from theoretical point of view of coalitions, to be applied to the formation of the executives of the local institutions. We will also make out an outline for the analysis of coalitions within the local institutions, and with a special reference to the local governments. Equally, and as a conclusion, an empirical balance of practical coalitions from the first democratic elections in 1979 till those of 1999 is elaborated based on coalitions carried out at main cities and county councils.Downloads
