La ciudad en la historia: comparación, análisis y narración en la sociología histórica de Max Weber
Abstract
This paper analyses Max Weber’s «The City» from a methodological point of view. This Weberian text is a case of radical and appearently selfsufficient comparative social research that shows paradigmatically the limits of a pure comparative historical sociology. To make it more intelligible a threefold path is followed: the first shows the results and limits of its dominant comparative strategy; the second reveals its analytic strategy; the third shows its deep narrative structure.
