The body of women in armed conflicts: a weapon at the service of the forces of the State
Abstract
This article states that sexual violence against women is acquiring a definite category in most armed conflicts and in genocides. Such violence may fall under the concept or category of femicide. The main argument of the work is that women are raped and sexually tortured during conflicts simply because they belong to the female gender. During the exhibition, the emergence of the concept of femicide will be developed and progress will be made to address the importance of the testimonies of survivors of such violence and how, Thanks to them, justice can be achieved at the international level and a specific gender memory in the various conflicts. In addition to analyzing the direct intervention of the State in this type of violence and how it is a common practice in armed conflicts.
