Abstract

The public support of evangelical Christians for the State of Israel is a phenomenon that has transcended the United States and has reached Latin America. Therefore, this article seeks to present the main actors and actions of Christian Zionists in Chile. The article addresses the phenomenon within the broad framework of international studies, examining its transnational dimension in relation to the American case since it is a reference for Chilean actors. In addition, Chilean Zionist Christianity is analyzed in the context of post-dictatorship and its repercussions on evangelicals' search for political participation in the democratic era.
