Has politics of difference become obsolete?: An explanation and the proposal.
Abstract
How should the term Politics of Difference be thought under circumstances of structural inequality and cultural diversity? Does the Politics of Difference help reinforce or solve those structural inequalities? In order to answer these questions this article suggests a new meaning for the term difference attending to social difference in contexts of social exclusion and marginalization so that democratic institutions, processes and structures can be effectively more inclusive.Downloads
