Abstract
The central nucleus is a translation of two different Works, closely connected. First, the famous literary outing of the great poet Matsuo Bashō, Oku no hosomichi. Second, the journal written bay his disciple Sora, that is an abridged chronicle of the journey of his master. The translations come together with a biographical approach to Matsuo Bashō and a deep study of both works. A large bibliography with Japanese and European works guarantees the quality of the text.
