La vigencia de La incomunicación de Carlos Castilla del Pino, 40 años después. Lecturas y reflexiones sobre la intersubjetividad y la (in)comunicación
Abstract
This essay presents some reflections for the re-reading of the work La incomunicación, written by Spanish psychiatrist Carlos Castilla del Pino, 40 years after its publication in 1970. Although we live in the so-called “communication society”, we still observe the presence of many of the characteristics that Castilla del Pino saw in the incommunication: isolation, distance from himself and incomplete communication are some of them. The vindication of the intersubjective communication as object of study of communication sciences requires that we are able to unravel the characteristics of the current incommunication. The last objective of the text is to reflect on the use of the central ideas of La incomunicación in today’s society, characterized by the multiplicity of technological devices that apparently provide communication.Downloads
