Mediaciones, límites y posibilidades de la acción política

Abstract

The inquiry about the limits and the mediations that intervene in the definition that politics makes about the reality which tries to understand is thought-provoking. This is the same as thinking about which are its possibilities of setting and following an agenda regarding several issues with which politics deals. All of these issues have something in common: together and separately, they question its traditional meanings, the contents, forms, the procedures and, above all, the possibilities of political action. Why do I say this? Because politics is mater magistra when dealing with mediations and limits. Moreover, it has established as an individual and collective practice, and as an inclusive and exclusive discourse, setting limits and limitations, frontiers –some of them possible to transit and others impossible-, expectations, means and procedures to achieve them. It also builds great ideals, some frustrations, many interests and few opportunities. Today, the point is that the limits are guaranteed by phenomena which transcend traditional spaces and scenarios of intervention and representation of political action. It is not well known how to deal with the consequences they generate.
