Presupuestos epistemológicos y vigencia de la teoría de la mediación social
Abstract
The aim of this article is an epistemological analysis of Manuel Martín Serrano's mediation theory, 30 years after the publication of his main work La mediación social. In the article, the pioneer character that this work had for the theory of communication in the moment of its publication is underlined, as well as its current force in the social sciences scene. The article is focused on the epistemological grounds on which the theory is based -structuralism, psycho-analysis, marxism, semiology, general systems theory, cybernetics and mathematical theory of communication- and tries to show the analogies that could exist between these approaches and the new sciences of the complexity.Downloads
