Mediation in dependency situations: benefits of its application
Abstract
This work presents a reflection on the application of family mediation as a specialized tool in the management of interpersonal conflicts of a family nature related or produced from a situation of dependency. The essential characteristics of the process, its social and preventive potential and other benefits offered by its practice are explained, especially those referred to the person in a situation of dependency. Finally, the legislative framework associated with the practice of mediation in conflicts related to dependency is presented. In addition, the moments susceptible to conflicts where mediation emerges as a catalyst for them are proposed.
