Peacebuilding in youth communication practice. Study of two collectives from Medellín (Colombia)
Abstract
This work is framed in the conjuncture of the Colombian peace process made in Havana (Cuba) between 2015 and 2016, focused in the reconciliation of the Fuezas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (FARC), the National Government and diverse representatives of the citizenship. With a history of more than 60 years of violence, this possibility of a ceasefire meant the sharing of diverse visions of hope, denial and / or uncertainty. In this sense, the role of the young population of Medellín was decisive for the creation of positive wills based on audiovisual production. The work, which addresses the communicative dynamics of the Morada and Mi Comuna collectives, is based on an analysis of the content of 30 audiovisual products and semi-structured interviews, from the categories of the culture of peace of Galtung and Jiménez Bautista. The main conclusion describes the practice of communication as a strategy for the construction of peace in the processes of social intervention
