Cultural senses of the Frecuencia Libre: the social uses of the listeners
Abstract
Frecuencia Libre is an FM station in the city of San Cristobal de las Casas in the Mexican state of Chiapas, in air since 2002 without governmental permission. Its management is of a group formed by social organizations and citizens. The programming of the radio mainly brings informative programs and of debate with a strongly answering look and of social critic. The listeners interviewed in this research are mainly people who have a memory of a political militancy and believe possible social change.Downloads
