Abstract

The article presents a review of the main definitions and theories, with the aim of synthesizing the understanding of human values, outlining how classical literature and recent research deal with the subject. The importance of personal values in the organizational environment for the development of people management processes is being widely discussed to guide the actions of individuals. This literature review explains and discusses the applicability possibilities of the different theories to improve the management of people in organizations.
