Transformations of social identity in Los Altos de Jalisco (1926-1990). Stages
Abstract
This article aims to describe the stages of transformation of the social identity in Los Altos de Jalisco, Mexico, from the Cristera War until the 1990s. The process has been developed in four phases: Opposition (1926-1929), Adjustment (1930-1970), Reinforcement (1970-1990) and Change (1990- ). This analysis is carried out from the theory of social mediation and presents an advance of the research performed for the doctoral thesis Los mitos vivos de México: Identidad regional en Los Altos de Jalisco, directed by Manuel Martín SerranoDownloads
