Abstract

This article makes a classification of the most important positions regarding the mediations involved in the production processes of communication. Contributions made by renowned authors such as Manuel Martín Serrano, Jesús Martín Barbero, Enrique Sánchez Ruiz and John B. Thompson were taken into account. On the other hand, the article presents some conceptual approaches that include the systematization and construction of the category production logics in hypermedia journalism, as complex lattices of elements in the superstructural, structural and infrastructural orders, which enable or constrain the resulting production. Critical positions in reference to mediation studies qualify the article, which proposes a conceptual map for studying the journalistic production process for websites.
