The Latino-americanist Vocation of Spanish Republicanism in Exile: The Case of Leopoldo Castedo in Chile
Abstract
The article examines the case of Leopoldo Castedo within the broader context of the diverse political theoretical reflection on Spanish republicanism which followed its defeat in the Spanish Civil War. Castedo, exiled in Chile after the conflict, developed an intense cultural activity between Chile and the United States, bringing together what as it was distinctive in his intellectual practice, theoretical reflection and praxis, ideas with their concrete translation in the word and society of his days.
