Abstract

In the middle of the French Revolution, Danton was referring to the term ‘the homeland in the shoes’ to signify the rejection of exile by the mpdern citizenship mentors. It gives rise an introductory reflection on this figure, which unmasks the exclusionary vocation of nation-state and forces us to think again concepts as cosmopolitism.
