Abstract
The article analyses a Christian Greek inscription from Edessa of the arly IlIrd Century AD that mentions the baptism ad the resurrection, and tries to put it in its historical and religious context. Particular attention is paid to the origins of Christianity in Osrhoene and to the early practice of baptism.Downloads
