The way of Kami in Hayao Miyazaki’s films
Abstract
Through some animated feature films by Hayao Miyazaki it is possible to recognize the main manifestations of the Shintoism. The veneration to the ancestors associated to the cult to the emperor, the cult to Nature showed in the irui-kon or marriage with supernatural beings and other aspects like the purification, the beyond, the flights and the Shinto priesthood are analyzed in these Japanese films.
