La commemorazione della battaglia di Geraneia nell’epitafio di Lisia per i caduti della guerra di Corinto (Lys. Epit. 48-53)

Résumé
Questo articolo studia alcuni paragrafi dell’epitaphios logos di Lisia per i caduti della Guerra di Corinto (392/91 a.C.), dedicati alla commemorazione di una battaglia combattuta tra Ateniesi e Corinzi nella Megaride nel 460/59 a.C.: il suo scopo è quello di offrire un’interpretazione storica innovativa e chiara di questa rievocazione, non pienamente studiata in precedenti studi sull’epitaphios logos.
A seguito di una sinossi con le Storie tucididee, che sono l’unica altra fonte antica a riportare l’episodio nel dettaglio, il saggio procede con una prospettiva storica e analizza la sezione focalizzandosi sul contesto sociale e politico della fine degli anni ’90 del IV sec. a.C. Per comprendere pienamente il background e le finalità della commemorazione lisiana, lo studio propone anche un confronto innovativo tra questo testo e alcuni versi delle Ecclesiazuse di Aristofane, rappresentate nel medesimo periodo.
