Cómodo y los cristianos: lectura política de las frentes
Abstract
La efectiva tolerancia ejercida por el gobierno de Cómodo hacia los cristianos se refleja en la tradición eclesiástica y es la base de la ulterior consolidación de las iglesias, especialmente las del occidente latino. En el último periodo del reinado se constatan por primera vez contactos entre la corte y los responsables de la comunidad cristiana de Roma, hecho que se interpreta como estrategia para ganar apoyos entre las capas populares en momentos en los que se ha radicalizado la confrontación del monarca con las elites antoninianas.Downloads
