Documentación relativa al empleo de trabajadores extranjeros en la necrópolis tebana (D. XVIII)
Abstract
The documentary corpus from the early 18th Dynasty (c.1550-1425 B.C.) and found in Theban necropolis by Winlock inform us on the presence of gangs of workmen employed in building tasks. The lists of the gang and the diaries of the work written on ostraca mention foreign workers and their recruitment together with others of Egyptian origin. The employment of foreigners as building workers in temples and private tombs was a constant feature in the necropolis during the Tuthmoside Period favouring their integration among the Theban population.Downloads
