Contradicciones y conflictos de identidad en Apiano
Abstract
Appian´s admiration for Rome and her empire was sincere but not monolithic. We can perceive throughout his history some flashes of discomfort for Roman behaviour towards her enemies, cities struggling for their freedom or some qualified rulers as Perseus or Mithridates. The different identities that pervades Appian´s personality, as Alexandrian, Greek and Roman, come sometimes in conflict and are reflected in his history.Downloads
