Abstract
This paper analyses the figure of the centurion in Caesar's works. Starting from the complete study of all the accounts concerning this figure in Caesar's works and their comparison with other authors it has been possible to show how the dictator developed a new model of centurion, essentially based on courage (uirtus), which eventually became the ideal image of this post.Downloads
