Abstract

As in other areas of the Roman Empire, there are some examples of illegitimate children in Hispania. The epigraphic sources provide us with some information about the offspring of non-recognized unions by the Roman Law. There is a variety of cases that attest their frequency. Moreover, they offer us some characteristics about what life would be like for these individuals and for their parents as well.
