Abstract

The present study analyzes the murder of L. Calpurnius Piso, praetor of Hispania Citerior Tarraconensis, by a citizen of Termes (agrestis nationis Termestinae) in the year AD 25, text of special interest to analyze the Roman administration and indigenous survivals in the time of the emperor Tiberius. From a new point of view, the hypothesis of connecting the murder with the policy applied by the emperor Tiberius against some families of the high aristocracy of the Principate is proposed now.
