The ζευγήσιον τέλος and the “χωρίον ἀτελές” (Arist. Ath. 16.6): Census classes and the Solonian Fiscal System

Resumen
En este artículo examinamos la debatida condición socioeconómica de la tercera clase censitaria, la de los zeugitai (pequeños y medianos campesinos vs. agricultores de la clase privilegiada), a la luz de la organización del sistema fiscal soloniano. Será especialmente útil para ello el análisis de un pasaje anecdótico concerniente a Pisístrato y un modesto campesino del Ática que paga el impuesto. Terminaremos con algunas breves reflexiones sobre la eisphora posterior del siglo V tanto en las cleruquías/colonias atenienses, como en la propia Atenas desde el 428, durante la Guerra del Peloponeso y al final de la misma.
