Abstract
This article describes the academic, researcher, teacher and teacher of the first Ph.D. in Chemistry from Spain, Vicenta Jenara Yarza Arnal, who was a woman with great intelligence and ability to work, to achieve an important position within chemical research. Got to be a professor and director of secondary education in an era where women were mediated by conceptions that conservatives relegated to a destination in the domestic and the role of procreation. Free Institution of Education marked a turning point, encouraging the entry of women into all levels of education, science careers while still a closed shop dominated by men.Downloads
