In this study 363 pupils participated from first grade of two Gadalajara (México) secondary public schools. They were between 12 and 13 years old. From them, 94 were talented (59 women and 35 men); and 269 (168 women and 101 men) were non talented. In order to measure the emotional intelligence, two instruments: TMMS 24, a short version of Trait-Mata Mood Scale, and Bar-On EQ-:YV were used. The results of EQ-i: YV demonstrated the presence of significant differences between talented and non-talented subjects as well as differences due to the gender in the general sample. The results of TMMS did not show any difference due to the talent or gender. The MHBT has been developed in the framework of the Munich longitudinal study of giftedness and talent. The MHBT includes not only cognitive predictors measuring several dimensions and types of giftedness concerning intellectual, creative or social abilities etc., but also giftedness-relevant non cognitive personality and social moderators measuring interests, motivations, learning emotions, self-concepts or family and school climate, educational style, quality of instruction, etc. The MHBT-instruments (different scales and dimensions) are described in greater detail. In the second part of the article, after dealing with the objectivity, the reliability, and the validity of the MHBT, the authors discuss the standardization procedure. Christoph Perleth, Kurt A. The most relevant groups of agents are the family, mainly parents, who do not only contribute with the material support for their own development but also in the necessary affective environment; the teachers, as being change agents and a fundamental figures in the learning process, who guide and drive their academic achievement; and the classmates, always important and specially during adolescence. The present study compares a high abilities teenagers group with their classmates of lower intelligence in the way they perceived their scholar environment. The results show that, although there are some differences, it can be concluded that high abilities students’ perception does not have relevant differences with their classmates, eradicating one of the several myths about these kind of children. A sample of 41 students has been selected (19 girls and 22 boys) from several schools in the city of Valladolid and its surroundings. The students are from 6 to 12 years old and take part in an extracurricular enrichment program. Diverse and original productions made by the students and specifically designed for this research have been analyzed in order to come to the definitive findings Maximiano Del Caño Sánchez, Mª Marcela Palazuelo Martínez, Monserrat Marugán de Miguelsanz, Carlos De Frutos Diéguez, Mario Quintero González Copyright (c) https://revistas.ucm.es/index.php/FAIS/article/view/FAIS1010110050A Mon, 28 Mar 2011 00:00:00 +0000 Relaciones de la familia y del hijo/a con superdotación intelectual https://revistas.ucm.es/index.php/FAIS/article/view/FAIS1010110067A In this study we try to apply the theoretical model of the school of Milan, which indicates that families activate tools of self-correction, as part of a system where so that the child diagnosed in this case as gifted, does not cause a negative imbalance in the family, but that is an evolutionary change in the family system. Therefore this study aims to know the relations between the child with intellectual giftedness. The sample consisted of pupils of primary, 120 first and 145 second grade, for a total of 265. Progressive Matrices of Raven, colored scale Test y the WISC-R intelligence scale were applied in order to select the children who obtained the gifted criterion , it is, a 130 points IQ; 13 children covered this criterion. Within the conclusions we highlight that parents claim that they have differences and arguments inside his home, but that they dialogue always to reach an agreement and to take decisions for the benefit of the child's needs. It is demonstrated from the systemic model that gifted children do not cause a negative imbalance in the family, but they cause an evolutionary change in the family system. For doing that, we have used a rating scale in which parents pay attention to a number of general and specific aspects of the program, that is, the organization, management, pedagogical practice, among others. The sample consisted of 86 students and the instruments were the Test Badig E3• and the Cornell Test of critical thinking X. We found that there are significant differences in the overall capacity of critical thinking, within a threshold of intelligence, it is, we have not found significant differences between students with high IQ and students with average IQ, but there are significant differences between students with high IQ and students with low IQ, and there are significant differences between students with average IQ and students with low IQ. She managed to create one of the best theories of neurosis, giving special attention to the study of female psychology and the influence of cultural aspects in the first half of the twentieth century, when women were still waking up from social slumber that had been submitted by macho culture.
