Abstract

A study of the sporadic diplomatic relations that the Emirs of Granada maintained with the Ottoman Turk and the more continuous relations that they maintained with the Sultans of Egypt, all motivated by the war with Castile from 1482-1492, which ended in the conquest of the Emirate. Very detailed data about the different embassies and about the sending of Franciscans from the Holy Land to the Catholic Monarchs. Repercussions in the Islamic world of the baptism of the Muslims of Granada in 1501, the embassy of Pedro Mártir de Anglería to Egypt. Installment of the first Turkish corsairs in north Africa.
