Abstract
With this issue of the journal Derecom, the publication begins a new era, since on this occasion two young researchers in the field of Information Law, the doctoral students Víctor Escandón Prada and Ángela Moreno Bobadilla, both with their Diploma of Advanced Studies, and already experienced members of the consolidated Transparency Research Group, begin as coordinators. Good Governance and Communication. In the theme of this quarter, the debated ruling of the Constitutional Court on "hidden cameras" has a special prominence. Three articles deal with this highly topical matter, collected here in order of entry into the Editorial Board: the one by the professor of Procedural Law at the UNED, Marta Gómez de Liaño, in which he makes a comparison of the jurisprudence of the highest interpreter of the Constitution with respect to the controversial issue, which pits the right to privacy against freedom of information, two fundamental rights whose limits are often found, that of Marc Carrillo, professor of Constitutional Law at Pompeu Fabra University, who addresses the issue of sensationalism and the abusive and recurrent use of hidden cameras to obtain information at any price without respecting the deontological rules of journalism and, finally, that of Ignacio Villaverde, Professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Oviedo who considers that the media, in this case, have exceeded the established limit, without respecting journalistic secrecy, since it would have been enough for them to disseminate such information without the need to broadcast the images and sound, He could have reserved them as proof of the veracity of the facts told.
