Chronological evolution of personal data protection in Mexico
Abstract
Personal data protection rights allow people to maintain the control on personal information. Specific tools are needed for their implementation. In this contribution there is a description of their origin and evolution, the different stages which they have been through, from an international area to its settlement to the Latin countries. Mexico has considerated them as fundamental, autonomous rights, the personal data being subject of licit management and in accordance with their entitled person wishes, allowing the possibility to confirm, modify and cancel them if necessary.
