the internet, an essential tool for the freedom of information
Abstract
The relevance of the Internet in order to be informed and to communicate is undeniable, as it favors the processing and the transmission of contents, it allows people to access, to compare and to oppose information and opinions provided by different sources; and with its interactive capacity, it fosters the development of the public opinion, promoting the social performance through the flow of information.
As a consequence, it is necessary to reflect on the Internet as a tool of the freedom of information in its three dimensions, as it is made up of the faculties of reception, dissemination and research information, in a free and effective manner.
