Abstract

In this paper we analyze, from the point of view of the records and archives managers, the impacts of the Official Secrets Act (1968) still in force and of the current Information Security Regulations on the Right of access to public information within the documents managed by the General State Administration Archives, as well as the progress made in this respect, derived both from the ministerial authorisations for access and frfom the recent Democratic Memory Act, and the views caused by the Draft Bill on Classified Information, still in parliamentary procedure.
